La convocatoria de becas escolares se ha saldado con 792 beneficiarios y 61.260 euros en ayudas

En esta edición se han concedido 235 becas más que el curso anterior  y ninguna persona que cumplía los requisitos ha quedado excluida

La concejal delegada de Educación del Ayuntamiento de Lucena, Miriam Ortiz, informaba de la Convocatoria de Ayudas al Material Escolar correspondientes al presente ejercicio. Ortiz, indicaba que se beneficiarán de estas ayudas un total de  729 alumnos, con 229 ayudas para alumnos de infantil, y 563 para primaria y secundaria. En total, se han repartido 61.260 euros, en cuantías de 120 euros para estudiantes de infantil y 60 para primaria y secundaria. Este año, recordaba, Ortiz, se ha duplicado el presupuesto de las ayudas pasando de 40.000 a 80.000 euros.

La concejal delegada de Educación, anunciaba que se está estudiando aumentar la cantidad destinada a los alumnos de infantil debido a los gastos que se registran en esa etapa educativa.
