Las instalaciones de la empresa Novalk fueron el escenario de la presentación del equipo de la nueva temporada del club atletismo Surco.
En el acto estuvo presente el concejal de deportes, Ángel Novillo junto al presidente del club, Diego de la Fuente y Álvaro de la Fuente, ambos alma mater de este grupo de personas entregadas al atletismo.
Diego de la Fuente, ha sido campeón de Europa de M40 en la ciudad de Madeira, en 3000 metros obstáculos en las últimas semanas y segundo en 8 kilómetros cross con 1246 metros de altitud, dos premios conseguidos gracias a la perseverancia y al esfuerzo por mantenerse arriba en todas las competiciones.
Durante la presentación se homenajeo a Yeray Hernández y Carlos García, fueron 3 y 5 respectivamente en la copa del mundo y 33 y 40 en el campeonato del mundo.
Este pasado domingo Yeray quedó segundo en el cross de la ciudad jiennense de Torredonjimeno.
El club Surco lleva por todas las ciudades en las que participan el nombre de Lucena que está presente en campeonatos nacionales como internacionales.
