La XXVI Travesía a Nado de Nerja ha sido todo un éxito al recuperar su recorrido tradicional, con salida desde la playa La Torrecilla y llegada a la playa de Burriana. Esta prueba, que está incluida en el Circuito de Travesías a Nado de Málaga, ha reunido a más de 250 participantes de una veintena de clubes de toda Andalucía. Esta edición ha contado con dos modalidades, infantil y adulto; en la primera, la distancia era de 500 metros íntegramente en la playa de Burriana mientras que los adultos tenían que nadar 2.000 metros desde La Torrecilla a Burriana.
Precisamente, en la categoría de mayores han participado dos nadadores lucentinos con excelentes resultados ya que, Elia María Cuenca se hizo con la victoria en la categoría Absoluta Femenina mientras que Cristian Gómez consiguió un 4° puesto en la categoría Absoluta Masculina.
