El Club Balonmano Lucena competirá este sábado junto a otros clubes cordobeses en las tres categorías de cadete, infantil y alevín por un puesto en la Copa de Andalucía
El concejal de Deportes, Ángel Novillo, junto al secretario de la Federación Andaluza de Balonmano (FABM), Francisco Molina, y la presidenta del Club Balonmano Lucena, Sonia Mora, han presentado la Final Four de la Copa Provincial Femenina de Balonmano que se disputará este sábado, en el nuevo Pabellón Polideportivo Cubierto “Ernestina Maenza” de Lucena.
Según ha explicado Ángel Novillo, “esta actividad se suma a una sesión de zumba que el SDM llevó a cabo para el alumnado del IES Sierra de Aras el pasado mes de abril mediante el uso de un grupo electrógeno para generar electricidad en este nuevo recinto deportivo”, cuya inauguración oficial tendrá lugar una vez finalicen los últimos trabajos pendientes y se de a conocer toda la programación diaria de entrenamientos y actividades destinadas para esta nueva infraestructura de la ciudad.
Con respecto al desarrollo de la competición, creada por la FABM para la promoción del balonmano desde categorías base, Francisco Molina ha indicado que a lo largo de estos meses se han desarrollado diferentes concentraciones por la provincia de Córdoba, comenzando precisamente en Lucena, ciudad elegida como sede para la Final Four, cuyos ganadores conseguirán un billete para disputar la Copa de Andalucía.
Los partidos se desarrollarán desde las 9:00 hasta las 14:00 horas aproximadamente, con un formato de semifinales y final para sus diferentes categorías, todas ellas con representación de un equipo del Club Balonmano Lucena. En cadete competirá contra el Ars Palma del Río; en infantil frente a Aguilar de la Frontera, Baena y Palma del Río; y en alevín contra Puente Genil, Baena y Palma del Río.
Ángel Novillo ha querido animar a todos los aficionados al balonmano a asistir al evento, cuya entrada es gratuita, al mismo tiempo que ha querido felicitar al club lucentino por su esfuerzo en traer esta competición a Lucena de la mano de la Federación Andaluza de Balonmano, a la que ha invitado a “seguir confiando en nuestra ciudad para llevar a cabo torneos y actividades que permitan promover y dar visibilidad a este deporte”.
